How To Get The Attention Of Your Perfect Client
Are you ignoring your perfect customers without even realizing it?
Sounds like a weird question, I know. But it’s really not. Because I used to do this exact thing. And I see it happening all around me still.
Just think about how many ads you see daily.
You are absolutely bombarded with them. Billboards and fliers and TV commercials… It’s like it never ends.
You have to cut through ALL that clutter to get to your perfect client.
Seems hard, but once I got what I am about to tell you, I almost doubled my client list.
How To Cut Through The Clutter?
Picture a busy train station. People everywhere, crowded, noisy, chaos.
Now imagine your friend is in that crowd and you HAVE to get his attention.
How would you do it?
You could stand on a bench and hope to spot him in the crowd.
You could ask people one by one. But with thousands of people that’s hardly practical.
The best way to get his attention?
Shout his name.
Makes sense, but how do we apply this in our ads?
Now we don’t have to actually know everybody’s name, we just need to make the first part of our ad jump out, and call them.
Mention the ONE thing all your perfect clients have in common:
“A bleeding neck”.
Let me tell you what it is.
And I promise it’s not as scary as it sounds.
Bleeding Necks
When I work with clients I ask lots of questions. One of them is:
“Who is your perfect client? Who is perfect for your service?”
Every once in a while a client says:
“Everyone! We sell to everyone!”
Because we were raised to think that we should do mass marketing.
Get people to know your brand and then hopefully someone decides to pick you, because they saw you in the newspaper or something…
You shouldn’t do that.
For two simple reasons:
- Not everyone needs or wants your service.
- If you try to reach everyone you get lost in the crowd and you reach no one.
Your perfect client has a problem, a desire, something they really want.
THIS is the bleeding neck, but…
How Can You Use A Bleeding Neck?
Let’s say you are a chiropractor and your perfect client has really bad back pain.
If they find your article on: “How to fix back pain in 5 minutes”
You will have them hooked like a hungry fish.
When you reach these people you solve every marketing and sales problem you have.
